As a key member of the Cloud Technology North America marketing team, the Content Strategist will support the strategy and execution of content programs across internal and external channels. This includes websites, dynamic landing pages, social media platforms, content syndication programs, and nurture programs. This individual will also help to conceptualize new digital experiences, formats, and channels through which to tell the Oracle story. The right candidate will also possess a strong background is writing content as well as assessing gaps in content and identifying new content strategies to better align to the marketing funnel. He/she will work closely with designers, analytics experts, digital, campaign and product strategists to ensure that projects are executed efficiently and deliver the desired results. The Content Strategist will also help to execute a content strategy for our corporate websites, using content analysis and optimization to balance business goals with user needs. The Content Strategist will report to the Senior Content Strategist and be able to work closely in driving all facets of content creation and strategy.
- 3+ years in a content role (marketing, editorial, or communications)
- Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
- Proactive, problem-solving skills
- Ability to distinguish the good content from the noise
- Knowledge of best practices for content audits and editorial calendars
- Basic understanding of content metrics/KPIs
- Comfortable leveraging content management systems to build, create, and edit content
- Experience working with external agencies to guide content creation
Travel Component: Minimal. Approx. 10% - 20% travel within the United States and Canada may be required to successfully fill this role. Position Location: Targeting candidate who can work onsite at Oracle office in Redwood Shores, CA, San Diego, CA, New York, NY (Manhattan) or Reston, VA. Detailed Description and Job Requirements
Responsible for the overall development of technical and editorial content and message portrayed across Oracle’s digital channels in execution of the company’s digital strategy
Overall development and implementation of content, technical orientation and user perspective to online products, services, communities by guiding and ensuring consistency throughout the site with respect to Oracle’s image and qualtiy standards. Identifies digital application opportunities and coordinates the development of content to meet defined objectives. Serves as a liaison among marketing, alliances, product management and product development to integrate a variety of content and to achieve a consistent, successful product for the user. Work with cross-functional team members to develop and implement an integrated content strategy. Develop techniques on ways to build traffic, generate leads and develop audience. Works with management to develop project objectives. Consults with graphic designers and web designers to insure that required technical features are feasible and can be implemented. Teams with creative and technical leads to manage overall content strategy
Acknowledged authority within the Corporation. Acts as a leader of large-scale company initiatives. Viewed by peers as a leader and top contributor and by line management as a key business partner. 12+ years of related experience in the technology industry preferred, preferably software industry. Experience should include relationship management. Ability to determine strategy and tactical plans that deliver tangible results. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. BA/BS degree or equivalent, advanced degree highly desirable.
