Responsibilities will include interpreting, recommending, and ensuring compliance with Environmental, Health & Safety regulations, and company policies related to multiple EHS programs to include assigned safety and health programs and hazardous waste and industrial wastewater operations. Ensures procedures are followed for proper storage, handling, transportation and disposal of hazardous waste. Periodically evaluates current operations to identify waste minimization opportunities that achieve pollution prevention, improved efficiencies, and cost reductions. Responds to emergencies involving hazardous material spills, and coordinates clean-up activities during and after regular work hours. Support regulatory agency inspections and ensures timely completion of any related corrective actions. Supports health and safety programs in plant to recognize, evaluate and control occupational health hazards arising in or from the workplace or facility. Performs monitoring by analyzing work operations and processes, materials, equipment; measures the magnitude of; and presents specific conclusions and recommendations to appropriate management groups. Performs EHS training and inspections / surveysof facilities including audits of programs. Performs tasks under general supervision, following established procedures. Provides technical assistance to multiple organizations. Perform tasks as assigned by management. Candidate must be able to work independently, multi-task and possess excellent communication,computer and organizational skills..
Bachelor’s degree in EHS or Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and 2years relevant experience in environmental, industrial hygiene and/or safety programs.
