Clinical and Translational Science at Cedars-Sinai is a academic-clinical-community partnership with UCLA.It is designed to accelerate scientific discoveries and clinical breakthroughs to improve health in the most populous and diverse county in the United States. Our mission is to create a borderless clinical and translational research institute that brings UCLA innovations and resources to bear on the greatest health needs of Los Angeles. The team is needing a dynamic Research Facilitator/Navigator.
Under general direction, the Research Facilitator/Navigator provides ongoing expert personal assistance to potential CTSI and translational research enterprise at Cedars-Sinai. Utilizing their expertise in institutional requirements and resources, providers or unit experts, such as regulatory (ORB, IACUC, Citi, GCP, MCA, etc.), contracting, technology transfer (IND/IDE), laboratories, biostatistics/informatics, medical library training (N11.1 manuscript registration, etc), and may participate in a onboarding orientations, or other CTSI training and/or funding opportunities. The facilitator serves as a primary contact for investigators and research staff to navigate the complex regulatory requirements conduct of their research, promoting CTSI-wide interaction. The Research Facilitator interacts with domain experts at partnering investigators understand and have access to the resources needed to proceed with study design, proposal writing, and project. Complies with all federal, state, and institutional policies, guidelines and recommendations for the conduct of research, communicating effectively to the large number of research teams. Assists with identifying and responding to clinical research needs within the community, and promotes cost-effective growth research activities. Develops areas of expertise with domain experts (e.g., FDA regulation, compliance and monitoring, etc.), to cross-train and institutions. Rotates to other CTSI partner institutions and cross-trains with partnering colleagues. Participates in continued education and training to further enhance knowledge of the evolving regulatory environment. Assists in special projects as assigned. Should be able to prioritize tasks, be detail minded, and be an effective communicator.

Education Certifications/Licensure Experience Physical Abilities Educational Requirements:
Preferred Master’s level degree in public health, biology or related field.
ACRP/SoCRA certification preferred.
Preferred five (5) years minimum experience in area of research specialty.
Prior experience with and knowledge of federal research requirements.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with faculty, administrators, and staff internally and at peer participating institutions.
Excellent computer and project management skills.
