Ensures that products are manufactured and delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification and in a cost-effective manner. Develops and implements activities in production area(s) to meet safety, quality, cost and delivery goals, to include management of exempt and nonexempt associates involved in production, assembly, facilities management and H&S by performing the following duties.
Reviews and establishes production schedules based on product introduction, efficiency, materials supply and personnel resources; manages activities through subordinate supervisors to maximize production objectives, maintains quality and attains output requirements that are consistent with cost and delivery conditions.
Establishes and enforces safety policies and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Responsible for the overall safety of the business unit.
Informs assigned associates of production and/or material problems and coordinates with support groups to resolve operational problems affecting schedules. Interfaces with Engineering and Sales & Finance functions.
Establishes and modifies operational methods and processes by determining changes in materials, equipment, and procedures; develops and establishes departmental standards and practices.
Manages and drives a continuous improvement culture through lean manufacturing principles.
Supports the maintenance and development of AS9100C Quality Management System.
Plans and administers procedures and budgets; makes budgetary recommendations on capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
Develops schedules and personnel requirements for assigned areas; maintains a variety of reports, records and production documentation to reflect schedules, performance, methods, and other manufacturing aspects.

Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. / B.S.) from four-year college or university; and a minimum of five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Direct leadership experience in implementing and driving lean manufacturing principles through an organization.
- Experience in the manufacture of electro-mechanical product.
- Strong experience in supply chain management (including expediting, lead-time reduction, inventory management).
- Experience in manufacturing engineering (including standard operations, plant layout, waste elimination, continuous improvement, engineering change control).
- Broad engineering technical skills and knowledge of implementation across a wide range of industries.
- Experience in implementation of manufacturing functionality of ERP/MRP systems.
