The Quality Improvement Specialist supports and facilitates new and established quality initiatives for the USC Care Medical Group and ambulatory clinics. Responsible for data analysis, project management, and facilitation of quality assessments and improvement projects to assure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. Redesigns and implements processes to optimize value to patients with improved outcomes, greater satisfaction, and higher efficiency. Developing collaborative customer relationships and clear communication are vital to the role.
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred or in progress (MBA, MHA, MPH, MS, etc.)
1-2 years experience (academic or through internships) in data analysis, project management, and performance improvement tools and techniques.
Proficient PC skills. Working knowledge of spreadsheets and word processing. Ability to analyze data. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Experience in an academic medical center. Experience implementing lean methodologies.
