Develops goals and objectives, policies, programs, procedures, and standards of performance to measure the operational efficiency and effectiveness of Medical Records administrative and technical service operations.
Serves as the Medical Center liaison between Medical Records Operations and various Medical Center departments.
Approves all equipment and personnel requests prior to final presentation to administration.
Directs the training and assigning of medical stenographers to medical and surgical staff.
Directs the operation of the Information and Patient Relations Unit, Disabled Children's Case Finding and Reporting Unit, and the Tumor Registry.
Directs the input and retrieval process for patient identification in all admitting areas.
Manages the hospital Morgue, Mortuary, and County Cemetery.
Prepares reports for hospital administration on matters concerning or related to the operation of the Medical Records Division.
Prepares the annual budget request for the Medical Records Division.
Participates on hospital committees, as requested.
Directs and monitors performance of the Medical Records Division operations and systems and takes corrective action to ensure proper and effective services.
