Responsibly directs, delegates, assigns and prioritizes work based on actual acuity level in the unit, the competency of the license and non-licensed staff, and the volume of the department. Regularly reviews work in progress of license and non-license staff in order to ensure that all treatment and procedures are expeditiously carried out and properly documented and intervenes not done as required are among the duties.
Must have valid and current California RN License, BCLS and ACLS for critical and telemetry unit. BSN is preferred, but exceptions for past demonstrated performance in a charge nurse role can be made. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a cute care hospital are required. Good interpersonal skills, advocacy skills and ability to problem solve required.
