JOB SUMMARYResponsible for providing guidance and support to the MECS supervisory staff, including adherance to Conifer Standards of Conduct and supervision of all hiring, training and personnel actions. Ensures that Medical Eligibility and Counseling Services (MECS) collection and assignment goals and SLA’s are met. Responsible for responding to and serving as subject matter expert for eligibility operations and service line questions for clients. Promotes relationships with clients and governmental agencies with which the department interacts. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESInclude the following. Others may be assigned.Reviews inventory for quality assurance. Works with supervisors to ensure all areas of region are meeting expectations for eligibility, collections/assignments.Acts as liaison for facility CFOs and BOMs, conducts presentations and provides updated reports, ensuring customer satisfactionWrites and implements policy and procedural changes as needed.Completes weekly/monthly reporting processes to corporate and individual facilities.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with guidelines, policies and procedures and applicable laws. Supervisory responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
