Responsibly directs, delegates, assigns and prioritizes work based on actual acuity level in the unit, the competency of the license and non-licensed staff, and the volume of the department. Regularly reviews work in progress of license and non-license staff in order to ensure that all treatment and procedures are expeditiously carried out and properly documented and intervenes not done as required are among the duties.
|Must have valid and current California RN License, BCLS and ACLS for critical and telemetry unit. BSN is preferred, but exceptions for past demonstrated performance in a charge nurse role can be made. Minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a cute care hospital are required. Good interpersonal skills, advocacy skills and ability to problem solve required. |
