Electronic Technician IISUMMARY:
Support Test Technicians, Assemblers and Self-Evaluation Teams throughout the organization in the areas of test equipment, test fixtures, assembly fixtures, test sub-assemblies, tools and test connectors by controlling, inventorying, ordering, issuing and receiving test equipment and test fixtures to technicians; performs work of moderate complexity. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES:
Control, inventory, order, issue and receive test equipment and test fixtures for all technicians within all departments within the company.Control, monitor, track and sanitize, in accordance with procedures, all test equipment leaving department.Transfer equipment from one department to another; deliver parts as required. Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices; maintain a clean and safe workstation.Improve and maintain 5S in your area, make suggestions for improvements.Participate in Lean/Six Sigma activities in own work area as well as events for other areas to enhance cross-functional problem solving.Collaborate in team meetings and activities, including SET team support as appropriate.Perform other related duties as assigned.DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS:
Work independently as well as in a team environment within the test department organization. Perform work of moderate complexity.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: (The following qualifications can be acquired and demonstrated through experience, education and/or vocational training as noted or as appropriate.)
One (1) year of related experience, including knowledge of microscopes, test equipment and prior use of hand and power tools; High School diploma, required. Technical skills: knowledge of Microscopes; familiarization with test equipment; prior use of hand and power tools; Communication skills: ability to receive messages by telephone, in person, electronically and in writing; ask questions and rephrase statements to clarify meaning; ability to read, interpret and comprehend complex written and verbal instructions, such as short correspondence and memos; ability to write simple correspondence; ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees within the organization; ability communicate with quality, integrity and respect in a way that inspires others and encourages innovation and possibilities; ability to interact with customers; proficient English reading level to understand technical terminology used within the organization; Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio and percent; and to draw and interpret bar graphs; Reasoning skills: ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations; Computer skills: ability to use Windows and/or Windows like interface using Microsoft office suite at least in a beginner’s level such as MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook and Anzio; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as SAP and Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality; ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task; Excellence Behaviors: remain engaged, proactive and positive even in tough circumstances; own assignments and be fully accountable for their success; align actions, behaviors and conversations to what matters most; bring out the best in others and recognize the value in every person’s contributions; ability to work independently being proactive to resolve work issues or notify supervisor of resources needed; ability to coordinate with other employees and as part of a team.SECURITY
