The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for glassware, tableware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe and sanitary facility.
Ability to read and comprehend labels on chemicals.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in a wet, warm and humid environment for extended periods of time.
Food Handler's Card as applicable by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Ensures all dishes, drink-ware, utensils, and equipment are properly washed, rotated and stored.
Checks dish machines for proper operation, set-up and break-down of dish machines; including arms, screens and baskets, reporting any defects in dish machines to management, checking water temperature during dishwashing operation, removing trash from dish room, and cleaning, sanitizing, and replacing liners on trash cans.
Maintains sanitation, cleanliness and safety in assigned work area, including dish machines, detergent storage area, and belt.
Operates dish machine equipment in a safe manner.
Fill/empty soak tubs and sanitizer buckets with cleaning/sanitizing solutions.
Sort and stack clean dishes. Carry clean dishes to cook’s line and other proper storage areas. Rewash soiled dishes before
Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glass, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Associate Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
