We are looking for a full-time freelance Set Designer to work on-site at our Carson headquarters beginning April of 2018! Successful candidates will be motivated self-starters who possess a strong visual aesthetic and work well under tight deadlines. Primary responsibilities include set design and construction oversight, product and prop styling, and shopping for set materials. The ability to provide clear direction and work well with both adult and child models is essential. Provide hands-on direction and oversight of set construction Create CAD representations (or similar) of set designs based on art director’s vision Implement set design using appropriate props, decor, paint and furnishings Maintain consistent aesthetic in set designs and photo preparation Collaborate seamlessly with senior photographers, art directors, designers, stylists and assistants Shop for set materials (props, decor, etc.) to simulate indoor/outdoor home settings Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in styling/set design/photography or related field 3+ years of experience in styling/set design/photography Ability to juggle simultaneous projects without sacrificing quality Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Excellent verbal communication and people skills Please include a web link or a PDF of your portfolio with your application.
