Under the direction of the Department Director, provides administrative and data management support to the Rape Treatment Center. Responsible for managing the Department's donor relational database, including creating, implementing and monitoring compliance with database protocols; ensuring data integrity; creating and updating constituent records; recording, tracking and reporting gifts; designing and implementing custom queries; generating solicitation, acknowledgment and other letters. Trains Department staff in database operations. Assists with special projects and events. Types, formats, proofreads and edits correspondence, reports, proposals and other documents.
Minimum of five years of prior experience providing executive administrative support and database administration/management. Advanced Access or similar relational database experience required; experience with Raiser's Edge preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively represent the Department with donors and leadership groups (Advisory Board, Support Council, etc.). Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and implement multifaceted projects and events with complex logistics involving multiple tasks and priorities, showing great attention to detail and the ability to work effectively with conflicting demands and changing priorities.
Proofreading skills, including the ability to edit copy for typographical and grammatical errors; excellent English language oral and written skills. Ability to handle confidential matters in a discreet and tactful manner. Demonstrated skills in anticipating project and operational needs; analyzing and proactively solving problems that arise; and creating and monitoring timelines. Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative and follow through on assignments with minimal direction. Ability to train and assist other Department staff in a busy Department with frequent interruptions. Skill in working as a member of a team composed of clinicians, staff and managers. Typing of 65 WPM. Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment, such as photocopiers, postal machines, PC's, printers, and scanners. Advanced knowledge of Excel and fluency in Word, including the ability to create and edit tables. BA/BS preferred.
