The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California (USC) and Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) in the Department of Pediatrics in the Division of Hematology, Oncology, and Blood and Marrow Transplantation, are actively seeking a full time faculty member for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor in Clinical Pediatrics.
The successful candidate will hold a primary academic appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at the University of Southern California (USC), Keck School of Medicine. The Leukemia/Lymphoma Program at CHLA is one of the largest in the nation, sees approximately 130 new patients each year, and is home to the Therapeutic Advances in Childhood Leukemia/Lymphoma (TACL) Consortium. With a robust clinical, translational and basic science research infrastructure, some of the highlights of the Program include comprehensive genomic characterization, bench-to-bedside investigations of novel agents, and cellular therapies. In addition to clinical care of patients with hematologic malignancies, the selected individual will conduct research related to his/her area of clinical interest. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT, an interest in hematologic malignancies, and the desire to become a leader in clinical trial development and implementation under the mentorship of CCCBD leadership.
The CCCBD is the pediatric component of the NCI-designated USC-Norris Comprehensive Cancer Center and is one of the largest and top-ranked pediatric hematology-oncology programs in the U.S., serving one of our nation’s most diverse patient populations. It hosts an ACGME accredited Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Fellowship and advanced specialty post graduate sub-specialty fellowships. The CCCBD has been continuously ranked by the U.S. News & World Report in the top ten pediatric cancer programs every year since the rankings were launched in 2008. Our large Clinical Trials Operation supports active clinical trials programs in hematology, oncology and BMT and offers unsurpassed unique research opportunities through several pediatric clinical trial consortia headquartered at the Center including the TACL Consortium, and the Pediatric Blood and Marrow Transplant Consortium (PBMTC).
