Our world renowned leader in the field of underwater communications, located in Santa Ana is looking for their next Regulator Technician.
Scope: As the Regulator Technician our customers trust us to provide the highest quality dive equipment on the market. They expect the same when repairs need to be made. The regulator Technician will provide expertise in diagnosing, making recommendations, and performing maintenance on all FFM/regulators including overhauls, annual maintenance and repairs. Clearly communicating technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner and then being able to complete all of the required work on site will provide support.
•Configure workspace adhering to highest levels of OTS and cleanliness requirements.
•Repair and service world class full face masks and regulators as per instructions, guidelines and quality standards
•Use relevant hand tools, electronic and environmental testing equipment and documentation processes.
•Maintain workstations with concise work instructions and checklists that are adhered to on a daily basis
•Interact and manage inventory stock and interaction with factory team members.
•Initial product inspections and testing.
•Troubleshooting and evaluation of symptoms.
•Test and tune 1st stages regulators (testing equipment).
•Test and tune 2nd stage regulators.
•Manage all cylinder Hydro and inspection schedules.
•Test and tune all FFM/2nd stage regulators going out of Consignment, Rental and demo shows.
•Provide expertise to all trained AGA, Guardian and Stealth technicians out in the field.
Additional Tasks/Services: Performing as the subject matter expert on all FFM/regulator testing inquiries. Outside dive professionals will need in depth explanations of testing procedures and troubleshooting solutions, these inquiries will be handled the upmost professionalism.
Abilities/Skills: Previous experience must demonstrate strong technical and mechanical skills with a good working knowledge of SCUBA equipment. The ideal candidate should hold at least one current equipment manufacturer’s repair certification; certifications for Interspiro and Ocean Technology Systems are preferred but not required. Training on manufacturer specific equipment servicing will be provided. Strong communication skills, both orally and written, as well as good computer skills are important to be successful in this position.
