Position Summary: Prepares and/or maintains all the records on all incoming and outgoing shipments.
Job Responsibilities & Duties
Prepares all shipping and receiving reports in a timely manner.
Prepares all shipping documents, which includes but is not limited to, bill of lading, freight manifests, shipping labels, and other records.
Examines outgoing shipments and checks freight charges to ensure shipments meet specifications.
Answers all internal departmental telephone calls in a prompt courteous manner.
Processes and distributes all transit documents and incoming mail to the appropriate departments.
Maintains a clean, safe and unobstructed workspace.

Job Skills and Requirements
High School degree or equivalent.
A pleasant personality with people.
A demonstrated team player
Basic typing (30-35 wpm)
Working knowledge of basic four-function math.
Proficient in 10-key.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Proficient in the MS Windows operating system, MS Word, MS Excel, E-Mail, and AS400 usage.
