Oversees and directs the gardening staff in the planting, trimming, pruning of shrubs, ground covers, vines, trees and palms with hand held tools and power equipment. This includes manually removing, installing, and maintaining plant material in beds and containers.
Cleans fountains and lakes as needed.
Installs, maintains, and repairs sprinkler and irrigation systems in assigned areas as needed.
Oversees the trimming of trees and shrubs as required to maintain aesthetic quality and adequate clearances around rides, lighting, roadways, midways, signage, safety equipment and other items.
Assists with the installation of fencing, barriers, and benches as required.
Assists with the control and removal of wild and feral animals that may encroach on Park property.
Provides assistance with a variety of general labor projects as assigned.
Installs and maintains various types of ornamental plants, shrubs, flowers, and trees throughout a large amusement facility.
Works safely with and teaches the effective use of a variety of power trimming, mowing, and tilling equipment, such as mowers, edgers, string trimmers, tractors, tillers, etc. as required by job assignment.
Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair standards when serving the guest or working with subordinates, including iniiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions.
Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Fair Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.
Meets scheduling availability requirements, including nights, weekends, and holiday periods to meet business needs.
Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies.
Adheres to Cedar Fair's Rules of Conduct including specific costuming and grooming standards as outlined in Associate Guidelines and other park/division specific policies and procedures.
