Full-Time and Part-Time NOC ( overnight - 12am-8am) pay differential negotiable
Full-Time and Part-Time Swing ( 4pm-12am)
Part-Time Mornings Only ( Monday -Friday 7-10am )
- Part-Time Weekends Only ( 8am- 4pm, 4pm-12am, 12am-8am )
Residential Care Staff (RCS) are responsible for the well-being, both physically and mentally, for the person served, at the residential home, as well as the daily operations of the residential facility. RCS supervise and address the needs of person served and treatment plans for substance abuse and /or mental health plans.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strictly enforce and support person served rights and confidentiality of information as required by HIPAA, federal and California rules and regulations concerning treatment facilities.
Support and implement SCBH philosophy with regards to all program components and maintenance of person served personal dignity.
Provide supervision/ assistance to all person served in activities of daily living in accordance to their individual treatment plan.
Promote and maintains good communication and cooperative working relationships with family, staff, and related treatment team.
Demonstrate consistent and comprehensive knowledge of required skills pertaining to performance of RCS duties and responsibilities.
Participates in documentation of associated behaviors as outlined in treatment plan and promptly reports to supervising staff.
Responsible for supervision of person served at all times to ensure safety.
Utilize the residence as a teaching environment.
Actively participate in the design, maintenance, and modification of the daily routine schedule.
Responsible to read and document in the communication book, end of shift reports, MAR’s, and progress notes, including communicating to staff by phone and/or email.
Collect and document UAs, BAC, and vital signs.
Transport person served to the center, meetings, and appointments safely and on time.
Follow daily shift responsibilities as designated by each residence.
Participate in menu planning, meal preparation, and grocery shopping, involving person served as outlined by the treatment plan and/or staff.
Assist, supervise, and monitor in the maintenance and cleanliness of the residence.
Crisis intervention and/or initiation of emergency protocol if needed, including CPR and calling 911.
Medication observation of person served.
Assist with intake and admission process, and orientation of guest house
Assess for withdrawals by completing COWS and CIWAS forms
Complete incident report forms
Other responsibilities assigned as needed
3-5 years of experience working in the substance abuse and/or mental health field; or Registered Drug Addiction Technician (RADT-I, formerly known as RRW); or a Licensed Vocational Nurse, or CATC-I or CADC-I
5+ years of experience working in the substance abuse and/or mental health field; or Licensed Vocational Nurse for 1-2 years, or CATC II or higher, or CADC II or higher, or Bachelor’s degree in social service with any alcohol and drug registration or certification
Five (5) years of experience in similar field setting will be considered equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 2 years of sobriety from any chemical abuse or dependency is required.
Valid and current California driver license
Ability to follow written and oral instructions related to performance of duties
Strong ability to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual and social needs of substance abuse and/or mental health of person served
Proficiency in HIPAA and code of confidentiality
Proficiency in basic computer skills
Strong skills in communication, organization, interpersonal, problem solving, and planning
