The Education and Production Manager will work alongside the Marketing Director and Vice President Operations to produce educational programs for all of the events in the cannabis portfolio.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will be responsible for coordinating the development and execution of all educational programs.
Duties and Responsibilities include:
Contributing to agenda and educational programs ideation and brainstorming
Planning and coordinating conference schedule including detailed agendas and supplemental programming
Conducting intensive research to ascertain and validate conference content with senior executives
Inviting, confirming and managing ongoing relations with speakers
Running events onsite, networking with senior executives and developing future business and liaison with audio visual and operations staff
Maintain agenda and speaker profiles on website
Collect and edit agenda abstracts for marketing materials
Effectively communicates all conference-relevant information to speakers, abstract presenters and internal stakeholders
Create a day-by-day, hourly conference schedule with respect to staffing and other program responsibilities for each event managed
Prepare the conference program book for relevant conference events
Conduct post-conference surveys with all attendees and compile details toward improvements
Assist with on-site logistics at all portfolio events
Working closely with marketing and sales teams to develop and aid in the execution of comprehensive cross-functional strategies
Vendor management for event execution
Bachelor's degree and/or advanced degree
2 years minimum conference development experience
Project management experience and able to thrive within a fast-paced environment
Professional maturity, able to work in a service oriented environment and as a committed team member. Strong interpersonal skills – committed to building effective relationships both internally and with external partners
Excellent phone interviewing and research skills and the ability to meet tough deadlines
Strong academic background, are team-oriented and commercially focused
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; including experience proactively developing accurate and effective communications
Attention to detail and adherence to deadlines
Organized, self-motivated; able to balance priorities; able to demonstrate a calm and professional manner in multiple live and sometimes stressful situations
Good presentation skills; comfortable working with and providing background and instruction to multi-level professionals
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Documents
Interest in cannabis industry education and policy development
