ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a consumer centric company, our systems and data analytics are a top priority here at Glas. We are looking for a Director of Systems & Data Analytics to help us design, build, and maintain the data-based systems in support of organizational analytics and customer data to optimize supply chain, improve operations, and manage various facilities to net more profit.
This role requires the ability to lead high impact, high visibility work and to go both broad and deep simultaneously.
You will work cross-functionally with our Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, Product, Sales and Marketing teams to coordinate the construction and expansion of our systems to ensure structural integrity and efficiency while providing analytical insights on customer, product, sales, & marketing trends. This includes not only the analysis of the data produced by our systems but the setting up of the data architecture to organize and produce quality data.
Beyond just setting up and measuring system performance, you will help us estimate the end-to-end impact of sales & marketing decisions, manufacturing and supply chain changes on realized quality and model their customer experience and financial impact. Ideally you enjoy understanding and improving business processes and systems just as much as you thrive figuring out how to extract the right insights from complex datasets. In short, you should be a doer and a thinker.
Core activities will include:
o Work with internal & external teams to ensure the smooth transition from Quickbooks Manufacturing & Salesforce CRM to Netsuites (Fully integrated inventory management, CRM, ERP, etc.)
o Work with web developers ensure a seamless flow of data and information between Netsuites and Magento for both our B2B & B2C websites.
o Work with teams across the company to map out systems and processes that impact the organizational workflow creating systematic efficiency
o Understand the data sources we have to evaluate company performance, both internally (manufacturing, testing, etc) and externally (customer surveys, social media, etc)
o Work with other departments to integrate, clean, model and analyze these datasets, to extract key insights and to define standardized KPIs
o Create a comprehensive product quality scorecard and run a regular process with business unit and company leaders to review progress and measure the impact of improvement projects
PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
o Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (ideally with an analytical background such as operations research, engineering, computer science or economics)
o Experience helping companies manufacture high-quality products and improve business processes
o 5-10 years overall work experience
o Strong track record of ownership and success
o Experience with data visualization, programming and scripting is a plus
o Highly analytical and process driven
o Outstanding structured and critical thinking skills and a passion for understanding complex issues with a data driven approach
o Exceptional communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
o Innate drive to get things done and improve business outcomes
o You have a long-term plan, but also like to iterate and make progress every week
