Adoption Recruiter for Wendy's Wonderful Kids program
This position will serve clients and be based out of Oneida & Madison Counties.
A Masters Degree in Social Work or a related field from an accredited college or university preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university will be considered with counseling and program experience. An Associates Degree in a related field human service field with extensive program and counseling experience may also be considered.
The Adoption Recruiter is responsible to conduct aggressive and accountable recruitment activities so that children waiting in the foster care system find appropriate, permanent and loving adoptive families.
The Adoption recruiter is expected to be an agent of change in the lives of the children for whom they are recruiting by managing an appropriate caseload and employing an intensive and exhaustive Child-Focused Recruitment Strategy.
Maintain relationships with adults significant to the child including the foster parents, caseworker, attorney, teacher, therapist, CASA volunteer, relative, mentor, faith-based representative, extracurricular activity leader, etc. Maintain regular and ongoing contact with persons close to and knowledgeable about the child to facilitate recruitment activities. Confer regularly with the director and workers on progress. Adhere to the Marketing and Promotions Style Guide provided by the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption.
