Supply Chain Director sought by Circor International, Inc. in Corona, CA 40 hours per week.
Duties:
- Design and implement improvements to Supply Chain to support business growth and improvement strategies
- Improve responsiveness to customers and reduce operating expenses and working capital
- Develop inventory management strategies and programs to ensure maximum inventory turns, best price, high quality and consistent support to manufacturing
- Work with manufacturing to rationalize outsourcing and in-sourcing activities
- Identify key supplier and partner with these suppliers to develop long term mutually beneficial relationships that ensure long term success for both parties
- Support group global sourcing strategies for a range of commodities and ensure these are migrated into the existing business unit supply chain with minimum interruption and maximum cost reduction
- Drive and ensure suppliers are held accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives both from a strategic and tactical perspective including lead time reduction, flexibility to schedules, quality improvement, inventory reduction (entire supply chain) and cost reduction on year over year basis
- Management of the business unit logistics function including developing and maintaining inventory controls
- Review and ensure that the appropriate financial metrics are monitored and proper fiscal controls are in place to maximize cost savings throughout the function
- Develop and automate key metrics and ensure continuous improvement to metrics over time
- Manage the day-to-day Supply Chain and Materials Management functions to achieve key metrics mainly 100% kits complete to assembly, on time, at planned cost and quality
- Develop in conjunction with Operations the department operating budgets consistent with goals and objectives and corporate plans
- Control utilization of manpower and expenses so as to keeps costs within approved operating budgets for the departments.
Travel will be on occasion to USA based suppliers along with travel to other CIRCOR locations
Requires:
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or Business Administration; and five years of work experience in supply chain management position; and three years of experience in ERP/MRP systems.
