Digital Energy, Inc. is a well-established engineering firm with extensive MEP work in design and commissioning of buildings, industrial systems, and central plants across California. We specialize in energy efficient lighting and HVAC. We work with large clients such as the California Energy Commission, California Department of General Services, Chancellor's Office, over 20 different CSU campuses, over 300 K-12 schools statewide, etc. 

We’re looking to add a principal partner to work alongside the CEO/President to help lead the firm as we grow. We offer a remote/hybrid work environment, paid holidays/sick time, robust health insurance benefits, 401k, etc.

Pay Range: $125,000 - $150,000

Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering work and guide draftsperson/designer on mechanical/plumbing design related to building systems and central heating and cooling plants
  • Manage client relationships from project proposal stage through project construction and commissioning phases
  • Develop basis of design documents and specifications, sequence of operations for all aspects of engineered systems
  • Collaborate with other disciplines including architecture, structure, electrical, fire alarm, and civil disciplines
  • Follow projects through from design state to construction and operational stages
  • Problem solve a variety of issues that may come up during construction
  • Lead meetings and discussions related to all aspects of project design and construction
  • Maintains regular verbal and written communication with clients and project progress
  • Manage cost effectiveness of project during all phases of execution

Required:

  • At least 10-years of consulting experience in mechanical/plumbing engineering related to buildings and central plants
  • Proven ability to meet schedule commitments on projects
  • Solid understanding of building codes related to design and construction
  • Professional Engineering License in California
  • Experience in leading projects in $1 - $10 million range for at least 5 years
  • Strong leadership skills and communication skills
  • Good understanding of energy efficiency measures in lighting and HVAC disciplines

Preferred:

  • Combination of design and project commissioning experience
