Admissions Counselor
We're seeking a dynamic, energetic and professional individual to join our admissions staff. This position will be responsible for recruitment of traditional aged students, from a geographic territory. The qualified applicant will be involved in tele-counseling, territory management, marketing and recruitment activities on and off campus, financial aid assistance as necessary, database management, counseling prospective students and families, contributing to overall enrollment management goals, evaluating prospective students and participating in the selection of applicants for admission. Seasonal travel and occasional weekend and evening work should be expected as part of the normal recruitment process.
A Dakota Wesleyan University Admissions Counselor will accurately and enthusiastically portray the university’s educational programs, expected outcomes, student services, and financial considerations to students, parents and educators. Successful candidates will have excellent written and verbal communication, ability to manage complex detailed projects, and have a demonstrated commitment to the mission of DWU and our values of learning, leadership, faith, and service.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; experience in college recruiting, admissions or related field a plus. Must possess a valid driver's license and be available to travel as required.
