Position Overview:
Position Summary
The ENMU Nursing Program is seeking a qualified nursing candidate to teach as an Instructor of Nursing for the on-line BSN Completion Program, a 9-month, non-tenure track position.
The nursing program offers a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and a Master's of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree, with a nurse educator emphasis.
Position starts January 2019.
Requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities
Faculty will:
- Provide quality undergraduate on-line instruction in assigned BSN courses, with a 4/4 load.
- Provide academic advisement and mentoring.
- Maintain regular office hours on the ENMU-Portales campus.
- Attend departmental and university faculty meetings and external meetings as required.
- Perform on-going accreditation assessment and evaluation responsibilities.
- Participate in other scholarly and service activities, and perform other appropriate duties as assigned by the Nursing Director and/or as outlined in the Faculty Handbook.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- MSN required.
- Candidate must also be eligible for New Mexico RN licensure.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in teaching nursing students.
- Experience in developing and teaching on-line courses preferred.
- Commitment to collaboration and working as part of a team to plan, deliver, assess and restructure program and course content, to serve students and other stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively within a diverse community, with a cooperative and constructive outlook.

- Work is sedentary in nature that at times requires exerting up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.

Paid Time Off
Medical leave is accrued at a rate of 12 working days per year up to a maximum of 130 working days.
Employee Educational Assistance Plan
Eastern New Mexico University offers a tuition waiver for regular employees and retirees. This program waives the tuition for one course (up to four credit hours) per semester. Employees' spouses may be eligible to use the tuition waiver during any semester that it is not being used by the employee.
