Assistant Professor - Physical Therapist Program Assistant

Florida Gateway College's Physical Therapist Assistant program is CAPTE accredited through 2028. The program is supported by experienced adjunct faculty. Teach courses in the Physical Therapist Assistant program. Advise students. Review PTA courses in areas of syllabi, lesson plans, tests, course offerings and sequences. Monitor program and implement needed improvements. Maintain accreditation processes of the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). Keep informed of changes affecting programs as mandated by accrediting agency. Assist in curriculum reviews. Maintain communication with health care agencies. Promote positive relationships. Conduct student follow up surveys. Requires Master's degree, with at least one degree in the field of Physical Therapy or Physical Therapist Assistant.
Requires:
Licensure as a physical therapist or certification as a physical therapist assistant. Minimum 3 years of experience in clinical practice; didactic and/or clinical teaching experience; experience in administration, educational theory and methodology; experience in instructional design and methodology; experience in student evaluation and outcomes assessment.
Desirable Qualifications: Community College teaching experience. DPT preferred.
