Must be friendly, reliable, & at least 21.
Cashier Job Duties:
- Itemizes and totals purchases by recording prices, departments, taxable and nontaxable items; operating a cash register.
- Enters price changes by referring to price sheets and special sale bulletins.
- Discounts purchases by redeeming coupons.
- Collects payments by accepting cash, check, or charge payments from customers; making change for cash customers.
- Verifies credit acceptance by reviewing and recording driver's license number; operating credit card authorization system.
- Balances cash drawer by counting cash at beginning and end of work shift.
- Provides pricing information by answering questions.
- Maintains checkout operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes.
- Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Responsibilities Of The Position:
- Responsible for ensuring that gas dispensers are operating and collecting money for gas, oil, and cigarettes purchased by customers.
- Provide great customer.
- Observe flow of automobiles being filled with gasoline.
- Occasionally show/assist customers in dispensing gasoline.
- Collects payments for customer purchases.
- Accurately records purchases in register.
- Makes change and keeps accurate till.
- Maintains sanitation of Kiosk, dispensers, islands, along with other station equipment.
- Maintain Station Logs as required
Requirements For The Position:
- Company Orientation.
- Basics Safety.
- ACR Checker Certification.
- Fuel Interface POS Certification/ Classroom/On-Site training.
- AST Certification.
- Fire Extinguisher Certification.
- Good Customer Service Skills.
- Able to work independently without supervision.
- Basic mathematical skills.
- Good problem solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 30 plus pounds.
- Frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and outside weather conditions.
- This environment is fast paced and requires the partner to be able handle multiple tasks at once.
