$9.37 per hour (must be enrolled in and complete a Child Development Associate credential program within two (2) years) $9.64 per hour with a Child Development Associate $10.49 per hour with a two (2) or four (4) year related degree High school diploma and/or general educational development. At a minimum, have a Child Development Associate credential or a state-awarded certificate that meets or exceeds the requirements for a Child Development Associate credential, are enrolled in a program that will lead to an associate or baccalaureate degree or, are enrolled in a Child Development Associate credential program to be completed within two years of the time of hire. The Teacher Assistant works closely with the Teacher to provide a safe, healthy and developmentally appropriate learning environment for Head Start children. The Teacher Assistant supports efforts to promote parent involvement in Head Start Activities.
