Sr. Public Works Technician (Signal Technician)
Employee performs work of a difficult and complex operational nature including electronic systems analysis and repair, traffic signal construction and inspection, and traffic signal operations and repair. The employee is responsible for the installation, operations, and maintenance all traffic signals in Scott County and has input into signal system design, upgrades, revisions, and removals. Works as lead when other staff or contractors are assisting with signal work.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires equivalency of an associate's degree in a related field and four years of experience with highway traffic or electrical operations to include maintaining electronic systems, electrical wiring, apparatus, and/or equipment. Work with traffic signal systems is highly preferred. A valid class B driver's license is required within 6 months of hire. A pre-employment DOT drug test (in accordance with Part 382) is required.
Salary Range: $54,319 - $78,083-DOQ.
