Research past proposals & historical/industry data to determine project costs & dvlp proposals. Req’mnts: Master’s or foreign equiv in Civil Eng’g, Earthquake Eng’g, Eng’g Seismology or rel. & 5 yrs of exp in job offered or rel. occupation: performing linear & nonlinear modeling of structures utilizing comm’l softw incl SAP & Etabs; performing linear finite-element (FE) modeling using comm’l softw; supporting post-loss srvcs incl eval of damaged buildings & structures, plan remediation, cause & origin analyses, eng’g assessments for reinstatement of damaged buildings, building code upgrades analyses, & specialized claims analysis; dsgn’g temp stabilization systs, incl repair, & strengthening of unstable structures; performing forensic investigations, incl field investigation for data collection, preservation & documentation of forensic evidence, & analysis. In alternative, employer will accept Bachelor’s in above-listed fields & 7 yrs of progressively responsible exp in above-listed skills. 35 % trvl req’d.
