Police Academy Sponsorship $27.36
Individuals selected for this position will participate in a 612 hour Police Academy in Glenwood Springs (academy details) at the Town of Vail’s cost for the academy tuition and all associated academy related costs, excluding room/board, travel and food. Academy recruits are paid $26.96 / hour during the academy and offered employment as a Vail Police Officer contingent upon completion of the academy, POST certification and a vacancy in the department. All other pre-employment requirements must be met at the start of academy.
Future Academy Sponsorship is available to internal Town of Vail employees as well as qualified external candidates who are bilingual (Spanish / English). Applicants must be able to demonstrate the aptitude to be a successful officer following training and alignment with the Vail Police Department values; Partnership, Ownership, Leadership, Integrity, and Character & Excellence is critical.

Officers must be able to act without direct supervision in emergency situations.

Our state of the art communication facility is located in Vail, and dispatches emergency service calls 24-hours per day – 365 days a year, for 13 public safety agencies in Eagle County. Parking Attendant $16.00
The Town of Vail, Colorado, the premier mountain community and international resort, is seeking guest service oriented applicants, to join our Summer Event Parking team. Parking attendants will monitor the event parking venue for each of the 44 events scheduled throughout the 2018 summer and are expected to be able to preform the essential job duties of the position in all weather conditions. These are part-time and on-call shifts.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Monitoring parking areas and maintaining records for parking operations.
Responsible for collecting parking fees from customers, preparing complete and accurate records and reports, assisting customers, and answering general questions.
Perform various traffic control responsibilities.
Responds to citizen and guest questions, concerns and complaints in a timely, courteous and helpful manner.
Monitors all radio traffic; communicating with appropriate coworkers and management when necessary.
