Quality Assurance Specialist
The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible to assist and support staff with post closing consumer (retail), in-house real estate (home-equity) and business loan processing functions. This position must have knowledge of business and consumer related guidelines and regulations in order to be a resource to others in determining proper process and documentation requirements. The QA Specialist will be responsible for reviewing variances to policies, processes or procedures, ensuring accuracy of documentation and promptly reporting findings and recommending corrective action to lenders, processors or their department manager.
The duties and responsibilities for this position include:
- Handling post-closed loan functions as they relate to consumer, business, and in-house loans.
- Track and report on exceptions and work with lenders and processors to remedy errors and/or exceptions.
- Review and identify areas of opportunity and weakness from trends in QA analysis, provide information to management for further training.
- Interpret and monitor State and Federal Regulatory changes related to Consumer and Commercial Loans and coordinating the implementation of process changes to accommodate.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in finance or business related field strongly preferred. Minimum of three years experience in loan underwriting/processing required.
